HOT CELEBRITIES: Sofia Vergara caught in Sharon Stone’s embrace for ‘Fading Gigolo’

Sofia Vergara and Sharon Stone in 'Fading Gigolo'Wearing a bra, Sofia Vergara and Sharon Stone were spotted, left, apparently smooching on set (Photo: Splash N …The famously curvaceous Sofia Vergara has been spotted on set spilling out of a black corseted bra for John Turturro's comedic film "Fading Gigolo."
But before you think she's undressing just for a man, think again. The steamy scene is happening with Sharon Stone, who reportedly plays a wealthy dermatologist opposite Vergara's glasses designer character.
Rumors of a woman-on-woman love scene -- in which Turturro may also be in the mix -- have been swirling for months. But in April, Vergara said the rumors were just that: "There's no lesbian loving. Somebody thought it was more interesting to write, 'Oh, Sharon Stone and Sofia Vergara, they have to have, like, a lesbian scene,'" the 40-year-old actress told Extra.
Sharon Stone on the set of 'Fading Gigolo'Stone on set in New York (Photo: Splash News)Judging by recent photos that show the pair together on set in New York last week apparently kissing (see above), Vergara's prior statement looks to have been misleading. As Ricky Ricardo would say: Sofia, you have some 'splaining to do!
Most everyone knows a ladies love scene is not new territory for 54-year-old Stone, who is perhaps most famous for her overtly sexual character Catherine Tramell in 1992 Paul Verhoeven crime thriller "Basic Instinct," in which she gets frisky with another woman on the dance floor. As for Vergara, the idea of a lesbian or bisexual love scene is perhaps not so strange either -- she did, after all, already play a post-op transsexual in the direct-to-DVD film "Grilled" in 2006.
"Fading Gigolo" is written and directed by "Big Lebowski" actor Turturro. He also stars in the film, playing a male escort. And if that's not enough, Woody Allen plays his pimp. Allen is also said to be helping out with the script, working as Turturro's editor, Turturro told The Hollywood Reporter in September.
When asked if he did research on the gigolo lifestyle, Turturro told THR with a sly giggle, "Yeah, I've done plenty... I can't really speak publicly about that." Then he gave his serious answer, saying he has always been interested in "the genre," referring to films with prostitution themes including "Midnight Cowboy" and "Belle de Jour."
"Fading Gigolo" is set to be released in 2013.

MOVIE REVIEW: Unexpected Visitors: A Bond director and the lord of the preppies light up Toronto’s screens this week

There’s a distinct lack of new major-label entertainment on our screens this week as the studios give their big American Thanksgiving releases one more week to play out, but there’s plenty of stuff going on in the margins if you’re looking for an offbeat diversion.
For starters, there’s the Monsters and Martians Fest at the Projection Booth East. Running through Sunday, it’s an indie sci-fi festival with a focus on modest budgets and major ambitions. Saturday night’s double-bill of The Call Of Cthulhu and The Whisperer In Darkness – two H.P. Lovecraft adaptations produced in the style of the era in which Lovecraft wrote his original stories – is of particular note, but I’m also intrigued by Alter Egos, a superhero comedy starring Ginger Snaps’ Kris Lemche and My Suicide’s Brooke Nevin.
On Monday, TIFF Bell Lightbox gooses its ongoing Designing 007 exhibition with a visit from Bond veteran John Glen, who worked on the series as a second-unit director and editor before taking the directorial reins for the entirety of the 80s. Glen will be sitting down for an In Conversation With … session at 7 pm, and introducing a screening of Octopussy at 9 pm. He’s a fascinating guy; check back on Monday to read my interview with him.
On Wednesday, the ongoing Packaged Goods series returns to the Lightbox for a roundup of the year’s best commercials and music videos; yes, it’s all stuff you can find online with a little digging, but there’s something to be said for watching this stuff on a big screen with other humans. And really, the full-length version of that Fleet Foxes video just isn’t the same on a tablet.
If you’re too high-minded to imagine paying to watch advertising, though, there’s something at the Royal that might be more to your liking. The folks at The Seventh Art podcast are launching a new series that brings filmmakers into town to screen and discuss their work, and they’re starting with Whit Stillman, who’ll be presenting Metropolitan at 7 pm Wednesday and The Last Days Of Disco at 7 pm Thursday. (Tickets are available here.)
I’m a big fan of Stillman’s – our conversation about Damsels In Distress at TIFF last year was one of the highlights of my festival – and I can’t endorse these events strongly enough. He makes smart movies about silly people, and if you’ve only seen these movies at home, you have no idea how pleasurable it is to hear the dialogue crackle through a crowd. Oh, and if you do go, ask Stillman what it’s going to take to wrangle a Blu-ray release of Barcelona. It really is his most prescient picture.

HOT CELEBRITIES: Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on her first screen kiss and the legal threats she received afterwards

She's arguably the most famous Bollywood actress in the world, who has also been doing her best to forge a career for herself in Western cinema.
But one thing Aishwarya Rai still struggles with is the public displays of affection so commonly seen on the silver screen.
The 39-year-old actress had her first screen kiss with actor Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2 in 2006, but admits she is still less than comfortable with the prospect of such intimate scenes.

In an new interview with Sir David Frost, Rai said that the scene caused such a stir in India that she even received legal threats following the movie's release.
She said: 'I did it once prominently in the movie Dhoom and it was so topical, and you’ll be surprised, I mean I actually got a couple of notices, legal notices, from some people in the country turning around and saying "You are iconic, you’re an example to our girls you have led your life in such an exemplary manner, they’re not comfortable with you doing this on screen so why did you?"
'And I was like wow, I’m just an actor, doing my job, and here I am being asked to offer an explanation for a couple of seconds in a two, three hour piece of cinema.'
But Rai also said that she had many doubts about signing up to appear in Dhoom 2 simply because of the kissing scene.

She said: 'It was around the same time that the interest in the western world from Hollywood, or European cinema, English cinema, from the industry there was a lot interest in me and the possibility of me working overseas, and I had already declined a couple of scripts purely on the basis of not being comfortable with the very physical scenes and the kissing because I’d never done that on screen and I just wasn’t very comfortable with the idea.
World-class beauty: Rai says kissing is not likely to be commonplace in the Bollywood industry for a long time

'And I was quite sure even my audience was not very comfortable with me doing it on-screen.  I was actually quite convinced about it but I still said okay, if I have to go down this path let me first do it in our cinema, in an Indian piece of cinema, and let me see if all my doubts are true, and they were.'
Rai added that while on-screen kisses are becoming more common in Bollywood, it will still be a long time before they become the standard.
She said: 'A lot of actors have kissed before that movie, they continue to kiss on screen till this very minute, but public display is not that common in Indian culture. Even our actors, it’s very rare that actors look comfortable in our cinema on screen kissing.
'It almost looks like it’s a planned moment, just to make much ado about a moment or to excite the audience. It’s made into this separate entity from a scene, it’s not very comfortable in our screenplay.'
However, Rai explained to Frost that passion in Bollywood is expressed via different means - through song and dance.
She said: 'What the kiss is in the western movies is what our songs do, and that’s where our audience experiences all the emotions that the western audience does when their actors kiss. So that’s a very comfortable space for us but I don’t think the kiss visually has been.
'It’s getting there, I mean now it’s become very, very common so I think, I think, I still think our audience is getting comfortable with it, but I don’t think universally.'
Rai's interview with Frost can be seen on Al Jazeera English each week at the following times GMT: Friday 2000; Saturday 1200; Sunday 0100; Monday 0600.

Si me necesitan, ahí siempre vamos a estar. Pero como todos los años, lo importante es ir al banco y hacer la donación”.

Eva Green was born in Paris, two minutes earlier than her sororal twin sister, Joy (Johanne).[3] Green is the daughter of French actress Marlène Jobert and French-Swedish dentist Walter Green. Through her father, Green is the great-granddaughter of French composer Paul Le Flem.[4] Her mother, a pied-noir, was born in Algeria. Green's mother is Jewish.[5][6][7] Green was raised without religion;[8] she has said "I feel like a citizen of the world. Life and cinema don't have borders."[9] She grew up in the 17th arrondissement of Paris where she attended the American School of Paris.[citation needed] Green has described her family as "bourgeois",[10] and has said that her sister is very different from her.[11] Green is a natural dark blonde; she has dyed her hair black since she was 15 years old.[12][13] French-Swedish actress Marika Green is her aunt. The 1980s pop-star Elsa Lunghini is her first cousin, through their mothers.[14][15]
Green was raised in France, attended and graduated from the American University of Paris, an English-speaking institution,[12] and also spent time between Ramsgate, London and Ireland.[16] Green was quiet in school,[11] and developed an interest in Egyptology when she visited the Louvre at age seven.[17] At age 14, after seeing Isabelle Adjani in The Story of Adele H., Green decided to become an actress. Her mother initially feared that an acting career would be too much for her sensitive daughter, but later came to support young Eva's ambitions.[16]

Career

Green at the 2007 BAFTAs.
Between 1997-2000, Green studied at St. Paul Drama School in Paris,[18] and then spent 10 weeks at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London.[1] Green also trained at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in New York City,[19] before she returned to Paris, where she performed in several plays.[16] Green stated that in drama school, "I always picked the really evil roles. It's a great way to deal with your everyday emotions."[20]
Green appeared on stage in Jalousie en Trois Fax (2001) for which she was nominated for a Molière Award.[21] She also appeared in Turcaret (2002).
In 2002, Green had her film debut, when director Bernardo Bertolucci cast her in the role of Isabelle in The Dreamers (2003), which involved her in extensive full frontal nude scenes and graphic sex scenes. Green told The Guardian that her agent and her parents begged her not to take the role, concerned that the film would cause her career to "have the same destiny as Maria Schneider",[22] and because of Schneider's traumatic experience during the filming of Bertolucci's Last Tango in Paris.[16] Green said that with Bertolucci's guidance she felt comfortable during the filming of the nude and sex scenes,[23] but was embarrassed when her family saw the film.[16] Her performance was well-received, with some comparing her to Liv Tyler.[19] Green expressed surprise when a minute was cut from the film for the American market, stating, "[T]here is so much violence, both on the streets and on the screen. They think nothing of it. Yet I think they are frightened by sex."[16] Green's next film after The Dreamers was Arsène Lupin (2004), in which she portrayed Lupin's love interest, a light-hearted role she enjoyed, although she has stated that she generally prefers more complex characters.[21]
Her performance in The Dreamers led to Ridley Scott casting Green in Kingdom of Heaven (2005), a film about the Crusades where she played Sibylla of Jerusalem. Green performed six screen tests, and was hired with only a week before principal photography began.[1] Green found the atmosphere of coming onto a film so late tense and exciting, and also liked the film's ambiguity in approaching its subject matter.[20] To her disappointment, much of her screen time was cut.[1] Stephanie Zacharek of Salon.com praised her performance: "She doesn't quite know what to do with her character's stilted dialogue, but she carries herself so regally that you barely notice."[24] Nev Pierce of the BBC, however, called her character "limp".[25] Green was satisfied when her character's complex subplot was restored in the director's cut.[26] Total Film noted the new scenes completed her performance: "In the theatrical cut, Princess Sibylla sleeps with Balian and then, more or less, loses her mind. Now we understand why. Not only does Sibylla have a young son, but when she realizes he's afflicted with leprosy just like her brother Baldwin, she decides to take his life shortly after he's been crowned king."[27]

Green at the Orange British Academy Film Awards in London's Royal Opera House (2007).
Green was considered for parts in The Constant Gardener (a role that went to Rachel Weisz) and The Black Dahlia.[16] She was cast at the last minute in the role of Vesper Lynd in the James Bond film Casino Royale (2006).[17] Green was approached in mid-2005 but turned it down.[26] Principal photography was already underway, and director Martin Campbell noted casting the role was difficult because "we didn't have the final script and a Bond girl always had the connotation of tits 'n' ass." Campbell saw Green's performance in the director's cut of Kingdom of Heaven,[28] and approached Green again. She read the script, and found the character of Vesper far deeper than most Bond girls.[26] Green's performance was well received: Entertainment Weekly called her the fourth best Bond girl of all time;[29] IGN named her the best femme fatale, stating "This is the girl that broke – and therefore made – James Bond";[30] and she won a BAFTA and an Empire award for her performance. Both awards were voted for by the British public.[31]
Green portrayed the witch Serafina Pekkala in the 2007 film adaptation of The Golden Compass (which, coincidentally, also starred Casino Royale's Daniel Craig, although they did not have any scenes together). She found it difficult being flown on a harness because of her fear of heights, which led her to refuse to reshoot a scene on her last day of filming.[13] Green hoped the religious themes of the book would be preserved,[26] but references to Catholicism were removed from the film.[32] Green next appeared in Franklyn, as Emilia,[33] a schizophrenic woman[34] whose multiple personalities are split between tormented artist (which Green compared to real-life figures Sophie Calle and Tracey Emin)[35] and another, which she described as, "full of life, very witty, big sense of humor".[34] She also filmed Cracks, the directorial debut of Jordan Scott, Ridley Scott's daughter, where she plays a mysterious teacher at a girls' school named Miss G, who falls in love with one of her pupils.[13] In March 2009, she appeared in Womb, where she plays a woman who clones her dead boyfriend. It is a collaboration between actor Matt Smith and director Benedek Fliegauf.[36]
She was considered for the role eventually played by Cécile de France in Un Secret (2007).[37] Additionally, she was initially approached for the female lead in Lars von Trier's controversial film Antichrist (2009). According to Trier, Green was positive about appearing in the film, but her agents refused to allow her. The unsuccessful casting attempt took two months of the film's pre-production process. Anglo-French actress Charlotte Gainsbourg was subsequently cast in the role.[38] Green later told she got along well with Trier, "but then we started talking about nudity and sex and so on. It got a bit too far... It was my dream to work with him, but it’s a shame it was on that film that it nearly happened. I’m sure I would have been trashed doing that film".[39]
Green starred in the first season of Starz's series, Camelot, as the sorceress Morgan le Fay.[40] Green stated, "This is such an iconic story and you have 10 episodes to explore a character. It's not a girlfriend role that you could have in a movie. It's a real ballsy character. She has some guts."[41]
In February 2011, Green was cast as Angelique Bouchard in Tim Burton's film adaptation of Dark Shadows (2012).[42]

Modeling

In addition to her acting career, Green has modeled for Breil, Emporio Armani, Lancôme, Heineken,[17] and Christian Dior SA's "Midnight Poison" perfume, in an advert directed by Wong Kar-wai.[12]

Personal life

Green considers herself nerdy:[17] "When people first meet me, they find me very cold. I keep myself at a distance, and I think that's why I'm so drawn to acting. It allows me to wear a mask."[3][17][8] Green supports UNICEF.[13][8] She dated New Zealand actor Marton Csokas after meeting him on the set of Kingdom of Heaven, but the couple announced their split in 2009.[43]
Green has expressed interest in returning to the theatre.[23] She says she has no plans to work in Hollywood because, "The problem with Hollywood is that the studios are super powerful, they have far more power than the directors. My ambition at this moment is just to find a good script."[44] She added that in Hollywood she would probably get typecast as a femme fatale.[13]
In 2007, Green was voted the 6th sexiest movie star of all-time for Empire Magazine.[45] Empire also listed her character, Vesper Lynd as the 9th sexiest female character in cinema history.[46] In 2011, Los Angeles Times Magazine listed Green at No. 18 for their 50 most beautiful women in film.[47] In 2012 she was listed no.57 in AfterEllen Hot 100.[48]
