After talk of trouble in their marriage emerged last week, the couple spent the weekend out of the spotlight. On Wednesday, they resurfaced -- separately.
While Kutcher, 33, attended a meeting in Hollywood, Moore, 48, indulged in some pampering at a nail salon in West Hollywood.
The "Two and a Half Men" star -- whose partying in San Diego on Sept. 23, the weekend of his sixth wedding anniversary, led to tabloid allegations of infidelity -- "looked a bit stressed and tense," says an observer. He wore his wedding ring to the afternoon meeting before returning to the Beverly Hills home he shares with Moore.
On Thursday's "Good Morning America," a previously-taped interview aired with Moore, who was promoting her Lifetime directorial effort Five. In that interview, Moore also revealed that she and Kutcher had exchanged gifts in honor of their new career endeavors.
To mark Kutcher's "Two and a Half Men" debut, "I sent him an orchid," Moore told GMA. Her husband, she said, reciprocated with flowers and a note that said, "I believe in you."
Of the flowers, Moore said, "It's like one of those small, little gems."
