Ashley Judd raced to her estranged husband Dario Franchitti's side on Sunday, Oct. 6, after receiving news that the Indy 500 champ had gotten into a serious accident during Houston's Grand Prix. The actress, 45, made sure to keep fans posted as she made her way to check in to the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center.
"Thank you for the prayers for Dario, I have only clothes on my back & the dogs but that's all that we need & we are on our way," the Divergent star tweeted.PHOTOS: Ashley Judd's face through the years
Franchitti, 40, was going at high speeds when his car launched into the air and into a fence during Sunday's event, leading to a concussion, a broken right ankle, and two fractured vertebrae for the race car driver. He underwent surgery Sunday to repair his ankle.
Debris from his demolished vehicle flew into the air upon impact, injuring 13 fans and an IndyCar Series official, according to The Associated Press.

Judd and Franchitti were married for just over 10 years when they announced their decision to separate this past January; though neither party has filed for divorce, it is unclear whether they have reconciled or are simply on good terms.
"We have mutually decided to end our marriage," the couple said in a statement at the time. "We'll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed."
