While that may seem like a Captain Obvious statement, hear Jennifer Lawrence out.
The 21-year-old actress, who stars as heroine Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games," was responding to a question from Vanity Fair that asked whether she's thought about the implications of starring in a movie that has the potential to become as successful as "Twilight."To which Lawrence said that she's been trying "not to think too much about it."
She continued, "'Hunger Games' is not 'Twilight,' and while I hear the comparisons, it's really premature to say it'll be the same phenomenon. I'm so proud of the work we did on the film - [director] Gary [Ross] and the entire cast and the crew were amazing, and I can't wait for it to be brought to life because I think it's an important story. If it does become a crazy phenomenon, I'll soak up my freedom now!"
Whether it becomes a runaway success or not, Lawrence promises that the film franchise will "absolutely" live up to the books.
"I had read the books before I even knew I would be auditioning for the movie, and was a huge fan of the material," she says. "Katniss is an incredible character: she's a hunter but not a killer, a 16-year-old who's being forced into the arena. The kids are killing one another only because if they don't, they'll die."
But in all honesty, are we wrong in thinking there's really no way the "Hunger Games" series WON'T become an irrepressible franchise? We suppose we'll find out when "The Hunger Games" opens on March 23, 2012.

Before they were the subject of marriage and pregnancy rumors, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, who have reportedly moved in together, were working alongside Paul Rudd in the upcoming comedy "Wanderlust."
A trailer for the film dropped Thursday, depicting Aniston and Rudd as a couple who are clearly too busy to keep the intimacy in their relationship alive. After Rudd's character loses his job, they relocate to be closer to his brother and then find themselves at a commune.And this is where Theroux comes in. We did notice that the production crew, and the trailer's editors, saw it necessary to include a scene in which Theroux tells Aniston to "flick the tip" as she milks what appears to be a goat. We'll let you hear the rest of the joke for yourselves in the trailer below.
"Wanderlust" is scheduled to arrive February 24, 2012.

Deadline reports that a live-action movie based on the computer game “Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?” is in the works, and Jennifer Lopez may step into Carmen's globe-trotting shoes.
Sandra Bullock was once slated to don the big red hat on the big screen, but now that J. Lo’s signed on to produce, rumors are swirling that the diva will also take the lead as the elusive detective. The plot will bring about a "cat-and-mouse" game between Carmen and her former ACME agency partner when it's suspected that Carmen has become "the world's greatest thief." The former partner takes on the role of the one who follows her clues to figure out her location. According to Deadline, they're aiming for a "National Treasure" meets "The Thomas Crown Affair" feel to the film.
In addition to the educational computer game, “Carmen Sandiego” also landed at PBS in the '90s as a geography-based game show for kids.
