The York Mills Collegiate Institute Grade 12 business management class is once again hoping to raise funds for the Toronto Foundation for Student Success (TFSS).
The school production of Thoroughly Modern Millie will be the stage for the fundraiser, with business students taking over marketing and other aspects of the Dec. 7 to 10 show at the York Mills Road and Bayview Avenue high school.
As with previous fundraisers organized by the business students, the goal is to raise $5,000, said business management teacher Aryta Persaud.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit TFSS, a registered charitable foundation of the Toronto District School Board. The TFSS, which operates independently from the school board, provides a breakfast program for students in need.
Dec. 7 will serve as an opening night gala, followed by a gala dinner Dec. 9 catered by Marc Garneau Collegiate Institute hospitality students.
"The Toronto Foundation for Student Success helps to close the gap for students who might not have all the tools for success," Persaud said when asked why that particular charity was chosen as the recipient.
For fundraiser or show information call 416-395-3340.

NOTE: The shows was a sold-out success in the three night production and matinee on Saturday December 10
