Veena Malik’s Naked Photos: Pakistan’s Skin Lightened Lollywood Star Goes Undercover

PSSST! Wanna see saucy photos of pale Pakistani Lollywood actress Veena Malik - former girlfriend of cheating Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Asif (she spoke out against him)- sporting the initials ISI on her arm?

ISI stands for Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence spy agency.

Veena’s agent says his client’s been photoshopped onto the cover of FHM India. But FHM India’s editor Kabeer Sharma tells the BBC:

“We have video footage of the shoot as well as emails from Veena about how she’s looking forward to the cover. The idea to have ISI written on her arm was mine, and it was Veena’s idea to have it in block letters.”

These days it’s all about the arm tattoos in naughty magazines. Many adolescent boys only read FHM for the abbreviations. It used to be about the articles. In the 1990s it was just about onanism and sex. Things move on.

But there is trouble in Pakistan, where FHM India is delivered under a black cover in the dead of night (or wrapped in a gimp mask) The country’s Express Tribune newspaper quotes Malik’s rep Sohail Rashid:

“Veena knows her limits. I know we have done quite bold stuff/shoots, those which are available on our website, but she knows her parameters.”

Nice work there to get in a plug for Veena’s website, on which we learn:

Veena Malik is one of the hottest stars of Pakistan. She is a great actress and a super model and is a famous name in Pakistan due to her bold personality and flawless charisma.

Phwoarh! Gerraload of that flawless charisma, lads.

Meanwhile, Veena is a big talking point on twitter:

Filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy offers: “For all you clerics waiting to pounce on Veena Malik better have your excuses lined up about why you were looking at FHM in the first place!”

Ayesha Malik muses: “Why ‘empowerment’ and a ‘free life’ mean no clothes?”

In Honey Money: The Power of Erotic Capital, Catherine Hakim notes:

“Feminist theory often erects a false dichotomy: either a woman is valued for her human capital (her brains, education, work experience and dedication to her career) or she is valued for her erotic capital (her beauty, elegant figure, dress style, grace and charm). The temptation is to see Pakistan as a place of sexual repression. It isn’t – unless you want it to be, sir:

Veena then tells the Indian press agency:

“I have never posed nude. I have never done anything like that ever. My manager and legal team is looking into the matter. We will take legal action against them.”

And with that Veena Mailk becomes more famous for naughty photos. It’s always the naughty photos…
